Dr. Alexandra Douglas is a Psychiatrist, living and practicing in Northern Ontario. She completed her undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences at Laurentian university, medical school at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine, and her residency training with McMaster’s Waterloo Regional Program. Dr. Douglas has completed the certification in Medicolegal Expertise (CMLE) course.
Dr. Douglas is currently a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada in psychiatry. She provides care to individuals with complex mental health concerns, including schizophrenia, bipolar, depression, anxiety, traumatic brain injuries, and substance use.
Dr. Douglas enjoys teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as supervising medical students and residents, and is an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) with the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University as well as Visiting Faculty Appointment with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.
