Dr. Shrenik Parekh completed his training in General Psychiatry at State University of New York (SUNY) in Buffalo, New York in 2010. He also completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon in 2012. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology for Adult Psychiatry as well as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
He has been practicing at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener, Ontario since 2012 working in varied settings including outpatient, inpatient and emergency psychiatry departments. He also provides consultation in various collaborative care models.
He has an adjunct faculty position at McMaster University, and is actively involved in teaching medical students and Psychiatry resident doctors. He has also been participating in medical volunteerism in Guyana (South America) as an educator and an advisor to the Ministry of Health.
