Mr. Julian Amchislavsky

Mr. Julian Amchislavsky is an Occupational Therapist, registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. He is qualified and registered to practice in the province of Ontario. 

 

He graduated with Honours from George Brown College with an advanced college diploma in Fitness and Lifestyle Management. Furthermore, he graduated with distinction from University of Guelph-Humber with an Honours Degree in Kinesiology and completed a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario. He is in good standing with COTO and his professional affiliations consist of registration with COTO and membership with OSOT.

 

He has clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of individual with orthopedic, soft-tissue and neurological injuries. He is trained in the performance of Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs) through the WorkWell protocol. He is a certified WorkWell Evaluator (WorkWell) and has performed FCEs and various other types of assessments. He is trained in the measurement of the functional impact of mild to moderate brain injury or disorder through BrainFx. He is a Certified BrainFx Administrator.

 

He has attended conferences and seminars on wound management principles, electric stimulation therapy to promote healing of chronic wounds, home health care innovations, assistive technology seating and mobility assessments and food, mood and cognition. He is certified in the 3rd Edition of the Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP) for pain management and the Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS) to evaluate a person’s quality of performance of personal or instrumental activities of daily living (ADL). He has received further training and certification in other assessment and treatment tools.

 

He is a Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP). He is currently receiving training through the University of Florida in Life Care Planning and the Cost of Future Care. He is AMA Certified Catastrophic Impairment Assessor by the American Board of Forensic Professional
