About Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work

The conference is presented by the Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work (CCRW), a national non-profit committed to promoting meaningful and equitable employment for Canadians living with disabilities. CCRW supports employers, job-seekers, and service providers through consulting, training, initiatives, and research-led tools. As an example, their 2024 Trends Report outlines how closing the disability-employment gap could add up to $50 billion to Canada’s GDP while generating enhanced innovation and diverse talent.

With decades of experience in inclusive employment and a deep network across sectors, CCRW sets the stage for meaningful discussion grounded in evidence, best practice, and measurable impact.

DWC 2025’s “Driving Economic Success: The Impact of Disability Inclusion in the Canadian Workplace” is designed to move beyond obligation and into strategic opportunity.

On Day 1, we explore how inclusive workforces spur creativity, deliver competitive advantage, and open new markets. Day 1 sessions include keynote talks and case studies from leading companies that have built disability-confident recruitment and accommodation systems.

On Day 2, we dig into how organizations implement inclusion initiatives, measure outcomes, and embed strategic accountability into business systems. Day 2 focuses on measurement, metrics, and governance: how to turn commitment into action and action into measurable business results. Attendees will leave equipped with frameworks, tools, and peer networks to accelerate inclusion within their organizations.

In the context of DWC 2025, PsycIME’s contribution is two-fold:

  • By supporting evidence-based assessment and accommodation practices, PsycIME helps employers understand how mental health, functional capacity, and disability interact with employment systems, in turn enabling more inclusive decision-making, improved retention, and reduced risk.
