Why Diagnosis and Treatment Evaluations Matter

Accurate psychiatric diagnosis is the foundation for:

  • Effective treatment planning
  • Disability management
  • Return-to-work strategies
  • Optimizing legal case outcomes (where mental health injuries are involved)

Without a clear diagnosis and treatment framework, patients and stakeholders are left navigating uncertainty, delayed recovery, and unsupported claims.

Our Evaluation Process:

1. Psychiatric Assessment
  • A 60 to 90-minute comprehensive assessment conducted by a licensed psychiatrist.
  • Focused on clarifying psychiatric diagnoses and providing treatment recommendations.
  • Outcome: Clear written report outlining diagnoses, clinical impressions, and suggested treatment paths.
  • Initial intake session conducted by a licensed therapist.
  • The therapist collaborates with the individual to gather clinical history, present concerns, and psychosocial factors.
  • The therapist offers short-term talk therapy sessions (if indicated) for stabilization, support, and monitoring.
  • The therapist monitors client progress and interfaces with the individual’s family physician (where applicable).
  • If medication challenges arise, the therapist can e-consult with the psychiatrist to recommend medication adjustments or additional psychiatric input.
  • This collaborative model ensures ongoing psychiatric oversight without requiring constant re-assessment.

PsycIME offers evaluations across a broad range of psychiatric needs, including:
